Here It Goes Again..

This month has been battling tough. Lots of happenings, and been a real big roller-coaster.

Financially tight for the month, but..

When pay comes in to my bank account on Friday, guess what? I started spending already.

My dear girl is leaving Fitness First to pursue her studies. Kinda can’t bear her leaving us.

Brought her out for lunch treat at Thai Express @Plaza Singapura.
.. Jade Green Laksa with Seafood;
.. Tofu Squares;
.. Black Pepper Soft-shell Crab with Glass Noodles.

We had a nice and rather bloating lunch. Thank goodness, I can skip dinner while she has a dinner to attend for the evening. Haha! Come back for more workout sessions!

So.. what did I spend on?
.. HAWAIIAN TROPIC Dark Tanning Oil from WhatHeWants @The Cathay;
.. ADIDAS Heritage Watch from City Chain @HDB Hub.

What’s the total damage so far? Hmm.. S$118.20.

Plus credit card bill and premiums which cost S$667.90.

Gosh! About half my month’s pay is gone!

I ought to minimise my expenses BIG TIME from now on!

Annual Staff Dinner And Dance
| Author: BerdleyChoong™ | Posted: Sunday, 10:04 AM | Category: Blog 2007 |

All of us were anticipating to this year’s Dinner and Dance so much so as we’re so excited about our dress-ups.

What’s with it?

The theme for this year’s event is RETRO FEVER!

Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, characters from GREASE, etc.

Who am I going to be? Hmm.. just the Retro-Berdley. Hehe. Somehow, they said I look like a Indonesian 70s Singer.

We spent the very most of our time after club closes to really dress-up.

Ministry Of Sound (MOS) is our event venue this year.

Out of sudden, it felt like a premier gala as all “celebrities” were present for the night with camera flashing. Snap snap snap.

Ka Sim and I took the most shots together. Haha. Here’s me with my afro hair-do and her looking very attractive.

After the actual party, you’re not gonna expect me to club the night through with the afro hair. I went to the Gents to re-do my real hair.

Guess what? Dexter starts playing with my wig and acts as if he has got a super bulky bush of armpit hair. Haha!

Before we start our night clubbing, we took a group photograph of the sales team of One Raffles Quay (less Irwan cos he has to leave early for his performance elsewhere).

Not forgetting, baby Mico. Hehe.

We went around to all rooms and stayed most of our time at Smoove for their great groove of RnB hits.

We had so much fun, and Dexter ordered Lamboghini for the two of us which got us sort of high after all the beer and liquor.

Thanks brothers and sisters for the wonderful experience for the night. I really did enjoyed myself after lots of happenings for the past week.

We shall party together more often. Yeah!

The Extravaganza
| Author: BerdleyChoong™ | Posted: Thursday, 11:08 PM | Category: Blog 2007 |

It’s about time I do something to my left eye to regain the beauty of it again.

Went to Singapore National Eye Centre (at Singapore General Hospital) for a specialist consultation and got a minor operation there and then.

I had experienced black-out twice, but managed to get back on track on my own. It is when I got to realise, I have only myself to depend on, and not any other soul.

Got back to my club, and everyone expressed a shock. Soon, everyone named me as “Pirate of the Carribean” (the One Raffles Quay version). Haha.

Well, I thought it was pretty cool though.

At 8PM, we headed off to OSCAR’s (at the Conrad Centennial Singapore) for our motivation dinner.

It is definitely a fantastic dining place that releases a “WOW!”

They feature sumptuous variety of international and mediterranean choices.

What attracts me for the evening is the Japanese range with superb Wasabi. Oishi desu!

Otherwise, 70% of my little tummy is filled with seafood! It is so fresh and tangy that definitely delights.

Ended the meal with dessert. I chose not to indulge in cakes or ice-cream, I filled my dish with various chocolates!

Look how Ka Sim is enjoying the sinful range. Haha.

Melts in your mouth. Yummy!

It definitely means we’ve gotta put in the effort to burn off the extra calories input. Rower, wait for me!

We Fight As A Team
| Author: BerdleyChoong™ | Posted: Sunday, 03:12 AM | Category: Blog 2007 |

Each of us has a budget-goal.

Numerous obstacles had slowed us down quite a bit, therefore for the last two day of close-out has been a big fight through. Although we are a distance away from budget-goal, at least we would push everyone through to commissionable tier.

Sacrificial acts from some of us, but the main purpose is not of our own benefit but everyone in the team.

We fight as a team, be it victory or failure.

-=-=-

Looking at how stressed out some of my team mates were, what I can do is to encourage, support and to unwind.

After the battle, we went out for a relaxing dinner at The Manhattan Fish Market which I would say I’d prefer Fish & Co.

Healthy choice is not in our priority list for the evening, indulgence is. Therefore, we headed down to Ben & Jerry’s at The Cathay for our fudge’y sins. Hehe. We were being entertained by the live band performance.

What’s next?

MR. BEAN’s HOLIDAY!

“In his latest misadventure, Mr. Bean – the nearly wordless misfit who seems to be followed by a trail of pratfalls and hijinks – goes on holiday to the French Riviera and becomes ensnared in a European adventure of cinematic proportions.

Tired of the dreary, wet London weather, Bean packs up his suitcase and camcorder to head to Cannes for some sun on the beach. Ah…vacation. But his trip doesn’t go as smoothly as he had hoped when the bumbling Bean falls face first into a series of mishaps and fortunate coincidences, far-fetched enough to make his own avant-garde film.

Wrongly thought to be both kidnapper and acclaimed filmmaker, he has some serious explaining to do after wreaking havoc across the French countryside and arriving at his vacation spot with a Romanian filmmaker’s precocious son and an aspiring actress in town.”

It’s a light-heartening flick which really releases all the stress and tension. We had a good laugh.
