“Do you have what it takes to be a cabin crew?” SIA Flight Steward/Stewardess Walk-in Interview. Arrived at 10am. Hopped on the registration queue. Got my queue number – 72D. Waited in the ballroom watching SIA Cabin Crew corporate video. Sitted in the interview room at 2pm with 9 other male interviewees. Introduced myself, my current job and why I decided on becoming a Flight Steward. Man, I was nervous, but managed to keep myself composed. Waited outside the room for results. 10mins later, “Those names whom I am calling out, please proceed to the right, and the rest, thank you for coming.” First name to call out – Mr. Choong Mun Sun. I glimpsed. Horray! When the lady asked me over to verify my Identity Card and Education Certificates, she looked at my application form and said, “I’m sorry. You’re not holding on to a local diploma, we can’t let you through.” I was like, “Huh?!” Drop out! For once, I was happy but soon diminished. Well, at least I get to know that my appearance and personality got through the rigorous round. Geez! It somehow inspires me more to continue my studies, especially when I wan’na switch my specialisation to Sports Science. This time round, I’m looking at Republic Polytechnic. Hmm.. now planning my route.

My in-camp training is nearing in another month’s time. Just gone through the training programme, this time round, we are going to get real wet! Coincidentally, One Raffles Quay team is doing a Camo’theme this month. Is it supposed to be a prep’ for my coming reservist? All camouflaged, as if we are going to fight a war, actually we are, a fitness war. Doing outreach in it, is so cool and fun! We attracted loads of attention. Response was pretty good too. Come join our force to fight towards your fitness goal today! Do I look “Ga-rang” (enthusiastic)? Don’t fool around with me, understand?!

The Broilers | |

The month of June is a dreadful torture. However, I would like to express my gratitude towards people around me who have pulled me through. A little retail therapy to clear off the awful experience. Armed myself with a unique ring and a cool ear-stud from MIO by Orva. Oh yes! You are not seeing things, I have had my first piercing done on my left ear. Bad boy! Bad boy! Well, Khirul called me a Decent Rebel. Haha! Picked up Ka Sim at Jurong East MRT Station before heading down to St James Power Station together. Yes! My debut clubbing attempt after a long break. Oosh! While waiting for the gang (Stephanie, Thomas, Raymond and his friend), Ka Sim and I went to check-in at Powerhouse. The feeling is so familiar and warm. I miss partying there! Shortly after when the gang arrive, we met them at The Broiler’s Room. I would say it’s gonna be a MUST to check-in whenever anyone (or myself at least) make a trip to St James Power Station. Why? I love the Hip-Hop and R&B environment, especially LIVE performances by Soul Kool! Heat it up, buddy! When the heat hits the roof, Ka Sim and I hopped over to Powerhouse again. Dancefloor was too hot to handle, we turned to the podium for another level of fun! Soon, we became the attraction. Cool man! We headed back to The Broiler’s Room, and grooved to the mixes to burn the maximum calories out of us. Erm.. somehow, I thought I did some of my BodyJam stunts there. Haha! Thanks people for making the party so much fun! We’ll do it again soon ya!
