Irritation’ism | |
| | Author: BerdleyChoong™ | Posted: Saturday, 02:07 PM | Category: Blog 2007 | | ||
I get irritated easily by individuals who.. .. make lots of noise while eating (no table etiquette);
.. leave gym equipments as it is after using (no gym etiquette);
.. rush in the train cabin without allowing passengers to alight first (no courtesy);
.. do not know how to say “Excuse me”, “Please”, “Sorry”, “Thank you” (no manners);
.. switch my channel/station without asking;
.. ignore your existence;
.. throw their weights around;
.. repriment one when they are not leading by example;
.. are inconsiderate, inco’operative;
.. escape from their mistakes.

The Resident Kids | |
| | Author: BerdleyChoong™ | Posted: Wednesday, 10:47 PM | Category: Blog 2007 | | ||
On a sunny afternoon.. Berdley meets up with “Ku-Ku-Bird” at Plaza Singapura. We decide to catch a movie – “Resident Evil: Extinction”. “Alice, now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera and L.J., along with new survivors Claire, K-Mart and Nurse Betty to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead… and to seek justice.” Although it’s not as good as its previous installation, still it’s worth the ticket. Psst.. the Resident Kids were busy munching the box of popcorns during the show too. Ssshhh.. After the show, we walked down to The Cathay and did some explor’ation (window-shopping). Somehow, came across some items that add concept to my room’s refurbish’ment plan. Cool! “Ku-Ku-Bird” suggested to walk down to Liang Seah Street for dinner. Upon arrival, we rested our feet and filled our stomach. I think it’s a walking day. “Ku-Ku-Bird” and I walked to Raffles City, and continued our explor’ation. In the middle of our mission, “Ku-Ku-Bird” was teasing throughout. Naughty “Ku-Ku-Bird”! Hehe. Nevertheless, thanks “Ku-Ku-Bird” for making my day such a wonderful one! “KU-KU-BIRD”!!

Now, I am back to the night (closing) shift. Strolled my way to KM8 (at Tanjong Beach) in the early afternoon to enjoy the sun and breeze before heading down for shower and to work. I’m lovin’ it!

Work’azard | |
| | Author: BerdleyChoong™ | Posted: Tuesday, 11:48 PM | Category: Blog 2007 | | ||
Experienced a shortage of manpower. Supposedly, at Alfresco, ONE (1) supervisor, 1 in-charge, TWO (2) servers and 1 food runner. 2 on medical leave, so left with 1 in-charge (Me) with 1 server and 1 food runner. However, I am proud to say, we managed to run the operation smoothly through as a team, and we even had fun! Hehe. -=-=- Visited Songs of the Sea (Singapore’s Multi-Sensory Extravaganza) after work. Songs of the Sea – a mesmerizing show with a live cast and dramatic effects pyrotechnics, water jets, brilliant lasers, special computer imaging, bursts of fire, captivating music and stunning flame bursts. Experiencing the splendour of Songs of the Sea. It’s a one-of-a-kind entertainment that’s not to be missed!

White Versus Black | |
| | Author: BerdleyChoong™ | Posted: Thursday, 10:29 PM | Category: Blog 2007 | | ||
Attended a Community Emergency Preparedness Programme (CEPP) modular training at Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) 1st Division. It consists of First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). As I am well-trained (Combat Medic), I am expecting the same procedures, however to my disappointment. First of all, the trainer himself was not confident of what he was teaching. Over-comical. Too feminine. Illogical definitions. Wrong applications. Most importantly, certified everyone for CPR when he did not require participants to do the correct posture and procedures. Short-cut everything. Gosh! Life’s at stake! Too disappointing to learn that this is how they ‘save’ lives. Sigh. -=-=- Met up with Taufik at Wheelock Place. Erm.. coincidentally, both of us were dressed in full-white. How to differentiate us – he’s Gorgeous White, while I’m Sporty White. We went shopping around the area, and bought a Adidas shades (me) and a MOOKS tee-shirt (him) at discounted rates. Woohoo! Afterwhich, we had dinner at Cineleisure. We continued walking around, and saw quite a number of items that we were so tempted to purchase but we didn’t as yet. Well well, probably soon. -=-=- Headed down to KM8, in all black with my new Adidas shades. Hehe. It was pretty cloudy today. Didn’t manage to get much tan, but relaxed the soul with the cool breeze. Fancy to see Alfred there too. We had small chat, and it’s great to see him again. Overall, it’s a pretty average day.

Love Of The Sun | |
| | Author: BerdleyChoong™ | Posted: Thursday, 10:42 PM | Category: Blog 2007 | | ||
Woke up at 8:30am. Breakfast at 9am. Headed down to Sentosa. To work? Nope, it’s my off day, and I am going to enjoy the sun to the fullest today. Hehe. KM8 at Tanjong Beach. The weather is simply fabulous today! Lying on the deck, and sipping a glass of Lychee Margarita. Being loved by the sun for a good FOUR (4) hours. Fabulously tanned. Geez! I wanna make this a weekly routine. So, you’ll know where to look for me ya. Haha! Had dinner at Marche (at Vivocity) before dropping by to visit Taufik.
