Believe it or not, I have not taken a ride on The Singapore Flyer since it’s launch. Sigh. Shall do so one of these days.

However, the events are stepping near – The Nike+ Human Race 10KM and Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008. I have not been training much, but am happy that I am significantly darker than before. Hehe.

Since I am entitled 20% discount on running items from Nike and Adidas, I have made used of it to purchase items to wear on the actual event day.

An advise, if you watch it as an individual story, you will appreciate it. However, if you link or compare it with Royston’s previous title “881″, you will face disappointment.

Mango Passion Freeze. Strawberry Soda. Sweetly refreshing!

Summer Salad is nice and crisp, however Ham & Cheese Bruschette is a wrong choice if you’re going to have a main course after. Don’t get me wrong, it tastes good.

Curry Linguini – it seems like having the usual curry chicken noodles, except the noodles being replaced by linguini. Nothing special. Ham & Bacon Penne seems better though.

Warm Chocolate Cake. Bailey’s Irish Cream Souffle. Oh my gosh! I can forgo everything before that and settle for desserts solely!

It has been quite a while since the last time I was active in gym and sports. Somehow I felt that my fitness has dropped drastically in terms of performance and appearance.

No excuse this time. Tight on time? Weather change? Buddy not available? No. No. No!

I have to be disciplined, stick to alternate-days-different-muscle-group regime. It is no longer a choice, but a MUST DO!

Just like anyone else, I do have a fitness goal for this month. Get back in shape, look fit and good when Fitness First at Fusionopolis opens door on September 08 2008!

TANNING.

In alignment to my fitness goal, tanning regime comes hand-in-hand.

Weather doesn’t looks good on days I wanna go for tan. I am glad to be back to Fabulous Tan, and with kind assistance from Bernard.

A sporty and healthy outlook is what I would want to achieve. Different from workout regime, I only need to schedule about twice a week for my tanning session.

THE NIKE+ HUMAN RACE 10K (August 31 2008). Just do it.

As part of an sponsorship program (by Nike+ and Nuffnagg), I am being selected to run the 10-kilometres human race.

I would very much want to run for this event, but upon registration, it closes entries earlier due to overwhelming response. However, I am glad when the piece of good news travelled through the soundwaves to my ear.

It is just like an preliminary or part of preparation for my next event during the year-end. I am just as excited as many others ‘cos we’ll be given loads of audio-treats along the run.

STANDARD CHARTERED SINGAPORE MARATHON 2008 (December 07 2008). Run your own race.

A not-to-be-missed finale event to end every year.

I have been taking part in the half-marathon category for three (3) consecutive years. It is about time to accept a greater challenge and overcome it – Full Marathon 42.195KM.

Running for the event is just like “watching” a movie of my life throughout the year. Reviewing what I have achieved, what I have not achieve, what I could have achieved, and what could be better. I take it as a “transition phase” in between years, and to get myself both physically and mentally stronger.

Getting myself conditioned and ready for it, and I will see you guys there!
